Sacha's story
These rocks are painted in loving memory of Sacha, who passed away in June 2024 at just 3 years and 9 months old, after a courageous battle with a rare immunodeficiency disease called NEMO.
Sacha loved books. At home and in hospital, he would get everyone to read to him, so most of the rocks are painted as his favourite storybook characters, especially from the Julia Donaldson books he adored.
His family and friends paint the rocks and hide them wherever life takes them, hoping they will travel far and wide, keeping Sacha's spirit alive and bringing smiles to faces all over the world.
